Nearing 900,000Need 40,000 More Signatures For Parents' Right to KnowBy the time this issue of the Faith reaches the streets in late-March, the number of signatures for the Parents' Right to Know ballot initiative will have gathered close over 860,000 signatures. This measure will require an abortionist to notify one parent of an under-18 girl before aborting the girl's unborn baby. Adding an extra boost to the signature gathering was a March 3 email sent by Knights of Columbus state deputy Robert Rodriguez urging Knights "to take action on this important matter" and to "pass this information on to others." The Knights of Columbus count over 60,000 members in California. Campaign organizers are aiming to gather a total of 900,000 signatures and urge everyone to gather "as many signatures as possible" before the end of March and send them in right away. Signatures must be received no later than April 8 to be counted by the volunteer staff.
